Introducing Nature Friends!

Nature Friends, is the maiden brand launched by our mother company, Nature Arts & Crafts. Founded by Mr. N. A. Liyanage in the year of 1997. Mr. Liyanage being a very passionate wildlife and nature addict named us, "Nature Friends" and decided that our logo to be a baby elephant. Ever since, he sure has full filled his dream of spreading love for wild life and nature among thousands and thousands of plush toy collectors of all ages! His creativity, talent for designing and drawing, and vast knowledge about fabrics and the sound experience in the field of management is the main reason for who we are today. Over 95% of our designs are amazing results of his talented and dedicated hard work.

In 1997, he started off with a small partitioned hall at his residence with a very small workforce of just two heads. Raw materials such as fabrics and accessories were purchased from the local traders. Samples were made according to the artworks designed by Mr. Liyanage himself. Increasing the number of employees by a few extra heads helped him generate a small amount of stock which was enough to cover a few retailers to start supplies with. All items were sewed and filled by hand with no machines involved in the manufacturing process.

As time passed, more talented and skilled workers joined our little family. We bade goodbye to the little work station and moved to a spacious facility located in Kadawatha. It's where our factory now stands. Now, equipped with the latest models of filling machines, laser fabric cutting machines and our very own embroidery plant, we are productive than ever with very low wastage and high efficiency. Quality has been our main area of concern ever since we started up and along our journey of expansion, we have moved on to choosing the most trusted companies in the international market for all our raw material needs. The three main raw materials, fabric, Polyfill and eye and nose accessories are imported by the most trusted and leading companies in the international market and are guaranteed to be of the finest quality!

We are also very humbly proud to say that we have made a large number of in-house and also self employment opportunities for the youth residing in the Gampaha district. Our workforce is very well trained and equipped in order to ensure what our customers receive is up to the best quality standards.

Our chain of retailers are the link between us and our final customer. Making our team of "Nature Friends" much stronger, we have on board the most trusted and the leading shopping malls, fashion outlets and super markets that cover every corner of the island! Therefore, shopping for their favorite stuffed "nature friend" is made as convenient as ever for our valued customers.

Another factor that brings us great pleasure in what we do is our very interesting customer range. From the little toddler to the grown up adult, we serve them all. With a wide and a vivid collection, we have something in store for all soft toy fans despite of what age they are or what occasion it is. From the fluffiest bunny for a toddler, to the fierce and life like wild animals for a hardcore collector, or even a life sized bear for your loved one, we'v got all of you plush fans covered! And of course, so far we have served a bunch of corporate customers by supplying them with personalized soft toys for their promotions and souvenir needs. It has been our pleasure to have served corporate customers from different fields of work such as banks, schools, hotels, duty free malls and airlines.

Further improving and widening our horizons, we have now stepped out into serving and spreading the love and the cuddles of our "Nature Friends", from our paradise island to the lands across the oceans.

We've made quite a journey through the past 20 years. But, we aren't done as yet. So much more to achieve and so much more love to spread.
